Lighthouse Ledge
Ironically, Lighthouse Ledge is one of the best reefs in Broward County. In addition to the abundance of marine life, there are large soft corals adorning the northern hook in the reef. The reef was named after the Historic Hillsboro Lighthouse just inshore. The best section of this 6- to 8-foot line faces west. Depths are 45 feet on top and 50 to 55 feet in the sand. This is a good spot for lobster, hogfish, and plenty of tropical fish.
